Kitchen terms & conditions​

The important bits

Please read and understand some important terms about our kitchen service.

  1. Ordering – We won’t order your kitchen until you have signed your Order acknowledgement and have a cleared deposit

  2. Preparation – Your kitchen MUST be ready for installation before we arrive, or it may hold-up your installation

  3. Payment schedule – Any missed scheduled payments may delay your kitchen ordering, delivery and installation dates

  4. Moving dates – If you change the agreed installation date, we will reallocate you to the next available installation slot in our works schedule. Your payment schedule will not change.

  5. Appliances – Buying appliances from us:

  • Delivery maybe subject to delays due to supply chain issues

  • The payments delayed appliances will be deducted from your kitchen balance and required before delivery

  • An alternative product maybe offered if the delays are too long for you

  • If using your own appliances, we cannot be held responsible for any faults that occur during installation

  1. Fitting payments – Any outstanding balances can only be held to the value of £500 if any outstanding work is still needed

  2. Working with sub-contractors – We cannot be held responsible for external sub-contractors such as quartz installations, electricians, plumbers, or plasters that may delay your kitchen delivery or installation dates

  3. Project management – If we recommend contractors and you are dealing with them directly we are not responsible for managing your refurbishment project unless agreed and quoted

  4. Supply only – If you buy our supply-only service:

    • A check-measure must be undertaken by us. If we don’t double check your measurements in person, we aren’t responsible for any fitting issues

    • We provide a drop-off service to a designated space at your property

    • 1-hour on-site or phone fitting support is included. Additional support time is charged at £80+vat per hour or £40+vat per half hour

Terms & Conditions

It is critical that you read and understand these terms and conditions to give you the best experience and ultimate happiness.

Ordering with us

Mutual Agreement between “US”,”WE”, Corrie Paul Kitchens Limited, and “YOU”, the customer stated in the quote and agreements.

These terms and conditions of sale apply to goods supplied by Corrie Paul Kitchens Limited. Any Quotation given by us is an invitation to you to place an order with us.

No contract exists between you and us for the sale of any goods until you have received and signed your order acknowledgement and the initial deposit as cleared funds.

Your quote

A quotation from us is valid for 30 days only. It must be confirmed again with us in person. If outside the 30 days expiry date the price may change due to supplier costs and a new quote will be issued.

Confirming your order

Confirmation of an order will only be sent when all details have been agreed with us and the first payment has been made. This forms a binding and legal contract between you and us.  No addition or alteration to the order will be valid unless agreed in writing by us. Fitting, plumbing, tiling, electrical and building work will not be included in the contract but will be detailed separately.

Our service

Design

We aim to design your ideal kitchen but, sometimes the digital CAD design can show differences from the finished article. Please read and understand these points.

  • Your CAD design is a graphical representation of your kitchen and may differ from the final product

  • Details such as lighting and fixtures aren’t included unless quoted by us

  • Final products and finishes will have been agreed by you when ordering and may differ from the design

  • Your design finishes can look different on different devices such phones and pc’s

Supplying your kitchen

The supply part of our service means that you get the best products for your kitchen.

  • A check-measure must be undertaken by us. If we don’t double check your measurements in person, we aren’t responsible for any fitting issues or delays caused by this

  • We provide a drop-off service to a designated space at your property

  • Any changes to your order after your initial order may incur an additional cost and effect your delivery and/or installation date

Delivery

Your delivery date is scheduled upon deposit and receipt of order confirmation. Responsibility of the goods will pass to the client upon delivery.

  • A delivery note will need to be signed to prove receipt of your kitchen

  • Any damage or loss caused by persons not employed by us such as builders or other tradespersons is the responsibility of the client

  • The risk in the goods not installed by us shall pass to you on delivery. For goods installed by us risk shall pass after installation

  • Any damages need to be notified within 48 hours otherwise you may not qualify for a replacement from our supplier without additional cost

Installation

If you contract us to fit your kitchen you will need to ensure the kitchen is ready for installation. If your kitchen is not ready, it may affect your installation date and you may incur additional costs for clearing and preparing if needed and agreed.

  • Additional services such as Plastering, plumbing, electrical and decoration is not included unless specified and agreed in your quote

  • Any changes to your installation after delivery must be agreed and paid in full. They may delay your installation and will not affect final payment. Sometimes bigger changes may need to be on a call back installation

  • Worktops – Once the kitchen is installed, a template will need to be taken for your worktops (if applicable). The fitters will then return 1 to 2 weeks later to fit the worktop. Dry fitting of kitchen units and cabinetry allows for the fitting of appliances and sinks but does not allow for final electrical or plumbing connections.

Other trades

We love to work with other trades to complete your kitchen. Sometimes scheduling issues and delays arise so please read these.

  • We cannot be held responsible for external sub-contractors such as quartz installations, electricians, plumbers, or plasters that may delay your kitchen delivery or installation dates

  • If we recommend contractors and you are dealing with them directly we are not responsible for managing your refurbishment project unless agreed and quoted

Payments

We request a deposit payment of 50% of the total order before the order can take place. The remaining 50% of the total order will be paid 7 days before delivery.

  • Failure to pay will unfortunately result in delivery being delayed until funds are received.

  • No deviation from the above payment terms is permissible without express permission by us

  • If you delay your delivery, the payment will still be due, unless otherwise agreed in writing with us

  • We reserve the right to charge interest on any outstanding or overdue payments at a rate of 3% of the balance outstanding.

  • In the event of late or non-payment and without affecting any other rights or remedies of us, we shall be entitled to either suspend delivery of the goods and their installation without notice and charge interest until all amounts owing (including accrued interest) have been paid in full or terminate the contract by notice to you in writing. Failure to pay within this time will result in the debt being passed to our collection company

  • Payments for extras/changes outside of your original order will need to be paid upfront and may add additional time to your schedule

Supply-only service

If using our supply only service, please read the following terms to make sure you know the scope of our service.

  • 50% of the total balance is paid upon placing the order and the remaining balance being due 7 days before delivery.

    • A check-measure must be undertaken by us. If we don’t double check your measurements in person, we aren’t responsible for any fitting issues

    • We provide a drop-off service to a designated space at your property

    • 1-hour on-site or phone fitting support is included. Additional support time is charged at £80+vat per hour or £40+vat per half hour

    • Payments for extras/changes outside of your original order will need to be paid upfront and may add additional time to your schedule

Changing your mind

Our kitchens are custom made to your property, if you change your mind during your project it is vital you know the implications of doing so to your timeline and budget.

  • We may have to change your delivery and installation dates

  • You will have to pay for the original order or parts of it

  • There will be a 30% surcharge for cancelled appliances if they have been delivered to us

The products we supply

Variations in colour

Sometimes your final finish can differ, its important you understand what can change if you haven’t seen the actual articles in your own property.

  • The customer will be shown a sample of a typical piece of furniture and worktop

  • The final colour and look may differ in your own property if only viewed in our showroom

  • Due to the nature of some of the timbers and worktops used there may be natural variations in colour and surface markings

  • No guarantee is given that the furniture and worktops supplied will be an exact replica in terms of colour and surface markings as those shown in samples

Fitting tolerances

Our products are built square and in some circumstances, there may be small tolerances to fit your property.

  • There may be voids and fillers surrounding the furniture as part of our installation

  • There may be a 1-2mm tolerance in some of the products we supply

  • These cannot be accepted as a basis for a complaint

Storing your kitchen & appliances

We will hold your kitchen as part of your project as per the agreed delivery date. If the agreed delivery date is extended after confirmation of the order, we have the right to make a charge for the storage of your furniture.

  • Storage over 4 weeks due to a client change will be chargeable

  • Costs are at our current storage rates

  • External storage may have to be arranged off-site

Warranty

Warranty covers the goods supplied by us for a limited time to cover you.

  • All goods supplied by us are warranted free from defects

  • We supply high quality cabinetry and are confident that you will be entirely satisfied with your new kitchen. If however, there is a problem with the cabinetry resulting from a defect in the manufacturing or raw material, we will replace the cabinet for a period of 25 years after installation in the UK

  • Frontals (doors, panels, plinths cornice and pelmets) are guaranteed for a period of 6 years and should you have a problem resulting from a defect in the manufacturing or raw material, we will provide a replacement (subject to availability)

  • Painted products will carry a 1-year warranty for the finish

  • All products and appliances are covered by the manufacturer’s guarantee

  • Please refer to manufacturer’s website or speak to us for more details

  • Call outs for appliance defects after installation will be responsibility of the manufacturer

  • Your point of contact is usually us to help you resolve any issues as part of our aftercare service

  • For supply only customers you will need to contact manufacturers for all warranty issues

Using your own appliances

If you intend on re-using your own appliances or supplying your own, please read these terms carefully.

  • We are not liable for any faults or defects

  • We cannot be held responsible for any faults that occur during installation

  • You may have additional fitting costs

Additions & extras

Sometimes you may want additional things added to your project, please read these terms.

  • Any extras/changes outside of your original order will need to be paid upfront

  • These extras/changes cannot stop the payment of any previous invoices

  • These extras/changes may add additional time to your schedule

Returns, refunds & cancellations

Know what and when you can cancel as most of our products are tailor-made.

  • Cancellation of orders will only be accepted if we have agreed in writing

  • Our kitchens are designed for you and are not eligible for a refund after ordering

  • If you change measurements or designs after items are ordered, you won’t be due a refund

  • Appliances and products that are eligible can be cancelled with a full refund up until they are dispatched to us after this there will be a restocking charge of 25%

  • Any products eligible for return or exchange will be at our discretion and will be subject to a 25% re-stocking fee.

  • On signing these terms, you agree to our refund policy

  • This doesn’t affect your statutory right
